Scotland kick off their Rugby World Cup (RWC) 2007 campaign against first timers Portugal on the 9th Sep in pool ‘C’ at the Geoffroy Guichard Stadium, Saint Etienne. This will be the first meeting between the sides at international level on any occasion.
Scotland Portugal Preview
Scotland will need to open with a convincing display against RWC newcomers Portugal if they are to progress from the pool stages in France 2007. We see this as a hard fought match but a step to far for Portugal and we see Scotland expressing themselves and winning by 30 points or more. Scots players to look out for will be: Scott Murray showing he still has the fire, Phil Godman at halfback and Chris Paterson wherever he plays.
