Scotland play Italy at the Rugby world Cup (RWC) 2007, in pool ‘C’ on the 29th Sep in the Geoffroy Guichard Stadium, Saint Etienne. The sides will be meeting in the RWC for the first time although both have played each other on several occasions particularly in the Six Nations, where they have had some close encounters.
Scotland Italy preview
This is a must win game for both sides if they want to progress out of the pool stages as neither is expected to beat the All Blacks. Scotland will certainly field their strongest combination and although it will be tight, we see them coming through by 10 points or less to win in the last quarter. Look out for Sean Lamont crashing through the midfield and Chris Paterson slotting his points.
Scotland 200/1
Italy 200/1
Updates to this preview will follow closer to the 2007 Rugby World Cup and as odds on the match itself become available we will let you know.
