The New Zealand Warriors who were originally formed in 1995 as the Auckland Warriors, are a professional rugby league team based in Auckland, New Zealand. They compete in Australasia's premier rugby league competition, the National Rugby League (NRL) premiership. The Warriors play their home games in the 25,000 capacity Mt Smart Stadium, Penrose, Auckland.

The New Zealand Warriors have yet to win the NRL, but came closest to success in 2011, when they defeated the Minor Premier's Melbourne Storm in the Preliminary Final only to lose the Grand Final to Manly, the junior side has seen much more success, winning the Toyota Cup in 2011 and finishing as runners up in 2010.
