France meet Ireland in pool ‘D’ of Rugby World Cup (RWC) 2007, on the 21 Sep at the Stade De France, Saint Denis. This is the first time the Countries have met in the pool stages of RWC. They have however met twice in the quarter finals, in 1995 when France were victorious 36-12 and last time out in Australia 2003 when France won 43-21.
France Ireland Preview
Everyone expects this game to be the decider for the winner in pool ‘D’. Although Argentina will be hoping to cause an upset. Whatever happens this should be one of the highlight games of the competition. We think it will be a high scoring game as both sides have exciting backs. However home advantage and the French pack will decide the day and we expect France to win by 10 points or less. Players to watch in the French outfit will be Raphael Ibanez, Sebastien Chabal and Clement Poitrenaud.
France 8/1
Ireland 10/1
Updates to this preview will follow closer to the 2007 Rugby World Cup and as odds on the match itself become available we will let you know.
